Merry Christmas to those that celebrate! I do, and as such, I’m headed back up to New England, where the rest of my family is. From D.C., the cheapest option is to take the bus to New York City and then continue on by train. And so, I sit on the bus writing this entry. However, it made me think about the nature of Holiday travel. When I travel, getting there and enjoying what is there are usually equally important parts of the experience. With holiday travel, I would much rather just get there. I often try and find air fares that make it feasible to travel that way, whereas if I had to travel from Guayaquil to Lima, I would much prefer to travel by land.
It’s Christmas Eve, so I don’t really have much else to say. The holiday weekend probably means entries will be a bit more sporadic, but look for at least one before the new year detailing exactly where I want to go with this blog in 2010. I’ve had a lot of input from some very talented people, and there are some things that are great, but other things that could be greater.
From the New Jersey Turnpike, Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
